If U Can’t Laugh, the podcast you didn’t know you needed, is the brainchild of Aimee Levin and Kate Epstein, both of whom know that life is CRAZY, UPSIDE DOWN and largely UNBELIEVABLE right now…. and that laughter might be the only way through this sh*t storm.
Collectively, Aimee and Kate are moms, wives, friends, judicious (and legal) pill-poppers and lovers of all (maybe most?) things irreverent. Their endless discussions of politics, night sweats, pole-dancing, kid drama, husband drama, hell, all sorts of drama… led to this podcast.
Aimee is mom of two (one in college, one in high school). She is a 22+ year veteran of the beauty industry, loves British crime dramas, can find a relevant Seinfeld reference in any situation, and thinks Curb Your Enthusiasm may be the mental health cure-all. She (only) has a working knowledge of French, despite attending a bilingual primary school but is completely fluent in Sarcasm, which she learned from her mental health professional parents. You can frequently find Aimee sitting in the car until her spot becomes legal, schlepping Trader Joe’s totes across Central Park, and showing extreme control by not screaming at every headline that flashes across her screen.
Kate is a self-proclaimed politically incorrect liberal. Once spoofed by Lewis Black on The Daily Show, she is a former award-winning TV-reporter turned corporate producer and filmmaker. In her spare time, she can be found playing tennis, complaining that her back and feet hurt (because of said tennis), hitting the gym or a local restaurant with her husband, spending time with her twin son and daughter, and searching for the perfect martini. (Kate: “Yes, please, I’d like a Tito’s martini, straight up, no vermouth, twist of lemon.” Waiter: “So, you want vodka?” Kate: “Yes, please.”
